The Better Part is a Scripture meditation and devotional companion developed by Sophia Institute, Inc. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our mobile application. By using The Better Part, you agree to the practices described below.

We collect only the information necessary to provide and improve your experience with The Better Part.

03 Third-Party Services

- Supabase — for optional account creation, authentication, and cloud data sync
- Firebase / Google Analytics — for anonymous crash reporting and usage analytics (if enabled)

04 Data Storage and Security
Your devotional progress and preferences are stored locally on your device by default. If you create an account, certain data may be synced to our secure cloud infrastructure (Supabase) to enable cross-device access.
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data during transmission and storage, including encrypted connections (TLS/SSL). No method of electronic storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable precautions to protect your information.
05 Children's Privacy
The Better Part is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us at the address below and we will promptly delete it.
06 Your Choices and Rights
You have the following rights regarding your information:
- Access and correction: You may review and update your account information within the app
- Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us
- Notifications: You may disable push notifications through your device settings at any time
- Analytics opt-out: Where supported by your device, you may opt out of anonymous analytics collection

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles, consistent with Sophia Institute's Terms of Use.
